That leaves all the scoring up to the Scheifele line and the pp. Hopefully that's enough for today

Don’t know how anyone can defend Maurice. To put things into perspective, the Jets have lost 6 consecutive playoff games with four of them being home games. Maurice has last change at home.

Maurice thinks this will come down to bounces, luck and “playing our game”. Well coach, our game is to get out shot and out played game in and game out and rely 100% on your power play and goaltender. Great strategy.

I don't think you ever spit up Scheif and Wheeler. They are magic together. Just look at those two goals last game. You could argue that they need a very defensive player as the third to back them up though. Maybe Hayes, Maybe Copp, Maybe Tanev.

I'm not going to say already that the Jets "are cooked " like Peter just wrote in the Hot Stove column. I think it's still a premature statement. I'd probably be willing to say that though if they lose tonight. We probably all would. Its all on the line tonight.

Hard to believe the people who are dumping on guys like Ehlers, Hellebuyck, Myers, Tanev, etc. They have been such a vital part of the Wpg Jets 2!

Very True !

The first period just sums up this series so far. The Jets dominate. Binnigton stands on his head or its 2-0 Jets. Instead, the only one decent grade A chance for the Blues and they score on a deflection off the tongue of Buffs skate. Its 1-0 Blues . Some puck luck going our way would be really nice right about now.

Edit: Finally some puck luck on the first Jet's goal. The they started to feed off that and scored a few beauties.

Dumb Jet award for the second period goes to Perreault. First he doesn't clear after some heavy Blues pressure ,which probably drove Maurice crazy, and then caps that stupidity off by taking a dumb penalty on an icing play. I hope he gets benched for a few shifts in the third. His daily-double of stupidity could have easily let the Blues back in the game

BTW...after the first period I decided I needed a nice glass of Laphroaig whiskey to sooth my nerves. Jets score three. No doubt that I now will be drinking the same thing for the rest of the series.

Binningron is beatable up high. He is real solid down low but he is beatable up high.

Nice bank job for Buff off Binnington head, the big guy is having a solid game.

the Jets are a solid team up and down the lineup.... they put up a great display tonite and nothing says they can't repeat the performance and then take the ice back in game 5.

They still have to do the work and win game 4, but tonite was do or die situation and they stepped up nicely to win. they can keep the momentum going next game and hopefully wrap things up with a bow in game 6.

Nice effort by the Jets. I also think maybe we should all start sipping on some Laphroaig while watching the game. More power to whatever works!
